SER MON 1

SERMON NOTES:-

Key Scripture: Exodus 4:2

Scripture References: Exodus 4:2-4, Exodus 14:16, 1 Kings 19:19, 2 Kings 2:13-14, Acts 19:11-12

What is a mantle? A mantle signifies authority.

In Exodus 4:2-4, God turned Moses’ rod into a demonstration of His power, causing it to become a serpent before him and later before Pharaoh. In Exodus 14:16, God instructed Moses to stretch out the same rod over the Red Sea, and the sea parted, leading the Israelite’s to freedom.

The Bible also gives us examples of men who encountered God’s mantle of power. Elijah cast his mantle upon Elisha, and Elisha later used that same mantle to part the River Jordan (1 Kings 19:19; 2 Kings 2:13-14). God also performed extraordinary miracles through Apostle Paul, using handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him (Acts 19:11-12).

As believers, we too can encounter the divine through God’s mantle of power. Yet many believers remain bound by fear and stuck in stagnant positions. Today, God is saying, “Move forward!” Your enemies may possess charms, but God’s mantle of power is far superior. Just as the Red Sea had no choice but to give way when the power of God was revealed, every obstacle standing before you will give way today, in Jesus’ Christ  name.
